Sun to Moon Gallery
Sun to Moon Gallery has been providing finely crafted photographic prints to individual collectors and businesses since 2001. One of the first things visitors notice at the gallery is the superb quality and variety of prints, including large-format landscapes, hand-crafted bromoil and encaustic prints, platinum prints, platinum/palladium over gold leaf prints, black & white gelatin silver prints, and more. According to gallery director Marilyn Miller, the typical first time Sun to Moon Gallery visitor’s mantra is “Wow! I’ve never seen photography like this before!”
The gallery specializes in collectible, contemporary American photographers who all have unique eyes for creating their photographs and painstakingly preparing their images for printing. Black & white enthusiasts will recognize the names of Alan Ross and John Sexton who were, collectively, the great Ansel Adams’ Photographic Assistants for the last ten years of his life. The gallery has many luminous gelatin silver prints in stock by these two American masters.
Sun to Moon Gallery currently represents twelve talented photographers and carries an extensive inventory of fine prints that includes color landscapes, seascapes & more, featuring subjects such as Dallas, the Texas Hill Country & LBJ Ranch, the East Coast and New England, the Southwest, the Ozarks, Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada, and Europe. The gallery typically has fifty or more framed prints on display, with other prints available for showing. The gallery also provides customized prints, from miniature to wall size murals, for restaurants, healthcare facilities and offices.
Marilyn Miller is responsible for coordinating exhibitions, booking appointments for private showings and working with clients to achieve their interior design goals. She encourages prospective clients to bring in color swatches so she can assist with selecting beautiful prints that are just right for their decor.
In the end, seeing is believing, and Sun to Moon Gallery invites you to visit the gallery at 1515 E. Levee Street in the Dallas Design District, savor the prints in person and experience the “wow” factor.
