MAP: Knocking At My Door
Knocking At My Door is presented here for the first time and is one section of a large-scale in-progress project Living Condition that includes two 30 minute films, an interactive site and public installations. An opening reception will be held at the Oak Cliff Cultural center October 11th from 7-9pm. There will also be an in-progress screening and Q &A of Living Condition: Bill’s Story at Dallas VideoFest on Saturday 12th at 2pm at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Richardson Theater 3. Follow the entire Living Condition project at livingcondition.net Dee Hibbert-Jones & Nomi Talisman have been working collaboratively since 2004 on projects that explore notions of public and private: democracy’s implications on individual lives, how people manage and who gets heard. They have received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the European Cultural Council, The Creative Work Fund, the MacDowell Colony, the National Parks Service, the Packard Foundation and The Center for Cultural Innovation among others.
