Harald Pryn “The Trails of Winter”

Southwest Gallery Cordially invites you to a Special Retrospective Show
Harald Julius Niels Pryn
“The Trails of Winter”
Saturday, February 21st from 1-5 pm
Harald Julius Niels Pryn was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark in 1891. He was primarily a self-taught painter. His winter landscapes are held among the greatest produced by the stylistic Scandinavian School. Pryn’s artwork is found internationally and is noted in Danish Museums, including the Museum of Art Rudersdal in Holte, Denmark. Although his popularity started in his hometown of Denmark it has expanded quickly to northern Europe.
Harald Pryn’s landscapes are heavily influenced by French Impressionism and Realism with a particular thematic focus on nature through the seasons, specifically winter snow scenes. Harald Pryns work is becoming increasingly popular, as he is a well-listed artist with an extensive auction history.
His artwork has been increasing in value since his death in 1968.
