Donald S. Vogel and the Artists He Championed

In honor of our founders Donald Vogel and Peggy Vogel, please join us in celebration of our 60th anniversary. We will celebrate the gallery’s 60th anniversary with an exhibition of founder Donald S. Vogel’s paintings along with the artists he championed.

During the first decades of the gallery’s history, Donald Vogel represented a diverse group of artists, from self-taught naive painters, to Taos modernists, Paris School painters, Texas surrealists and abstract painters and sculptors. Among the artists he championed that are included in this exhibition are: Francois Baron-Renouard, Thomas Benrimo, Hugh H. Breckenridge, Jean-Marie Calmettes, Mike Cunningham, Kelly Fearing, Michael Frary, Scott Gentling, John Guerin, Gottfried Honegger, Anita Huffington, Loren Mozley, Fred Nagler, Dickson Reeder, Earl Stroh, James Twitty, Valton Tyler, Charles Umlauf, Karl Umlauf, Claude Venard, Velox Ward, Charles Williams, and Clara McDonald Williamson.

“Donald S. Vogel and the Artists He Championed” will be on view through May 31.
