Austere Measures

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is excited to present Austere Measures, an exhibition promoting the works of up-coming artist from the DFW and Houston area. This exhibit will be on view at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center from September 6th, 2013 through October 4th,, 2013. A reception will be held on September 27th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Both exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

The exhibit will feature various artworks from an array of mediums by 12 different DFW and Houston-area artists. The artists selected for the exhibition are: Debra Barrera, Sebastein Boncy, Julie Devries, Teresa Munisteri, Irby Pace, Giovanni Valderas, Michael F. Blair, Kate Colin, Michel Furrh, Shayne Murphy, Blayre Stiller, and Kelli Vance.

This exhibition is curated by Giovanni Valderas, a local artist and part-time professor at Mountain View College and University of North Texas. Valderas has recently been accepted into 500x Gallery and selected to be exhibited in the Texas Biennial. The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is proud to work with Valderas to bring the community an exhibit that will display the contemporary artistic styles located within the DFW and Houston.
