13th Anniversary CELEBRATION Photography Exhibition

An exhibition of finely crafted photographic prints – 45 fine prints by 12 photographers

NOVEMBER 20 – JANUARY 10, 2015

Sun to Moon Gallery is proud to celebrate their 13th Anniversary with a group exhibition featuring prints from all twelve photographers the gallery represents. To celebrate and kick off the holiday season, we have assembled a varied selection of finely crafted photographic prints by Annette Bottaro-Walklet, Dan Burkholder, Jeffrey Conley, Charles Cramer, Anne Larsen, Scot Miller, Alan Ross, John Sexton, Alison Shaw, Jill Skupin Burkholder, Keith S. Walklet & R.P. Washburne. From black-and-white, to bromoil, to encaustic, to platinum/palladium over gold leaf, to large format color prints; this exhibition features a wide range of photographic styles and artistic interpretations by the photographers.

According to Gallery Director Marilyn Miller, “This is a great time to visit Sun to Moon Gallery. This is one of our favorite exhibitions of the year because we select our favorite prints by each photographer. As people put their holiday shopping and wish lists together, we hope they will consider beautiful pieces of art for home and office. When collecting photography, it’s important to experience the prints in person and to acquire images that speak to you. We are happy to assist in the process; educating, assisting with selecting prints and showing how our prints incorporate into a variety of decors. I encourage clients looking to enhance a particular decor to bring color swatches. We’re here to help.”

Sun to Moon Gallery specializes in collectible, contemporary American photographers who have unique eyes for creating their photographs and painstakingly preparing their images for printing. Black & white enthusiasts will recognize the names Alan Ross and John Sexton who were the great Ansel Adams’ Photographic Assistants for the last ten years of his life. Charles Cramer is widely regarded as one of the best landscape photographers in the world, producing beautiful, engaging large format color prints that must be seen in person to truly be appreciated. The gallery also represents local photographers R.P. Washburne, and Scot Miller, whose color photographs are currently featured in exhibitions at two Harvard museums. Both photographers will be in attendance at the Reception on November 22.
